May 18, 9:00 am – 12:30 pm
Hosted by Dr. Clyde Hertzman and the Human Early Learning Partnership (HELP)

The foundations for all learning are established in the first six years yet Canada and British Columbia perform relatively poorly in terms of their investment in young children.  HELP’s research is central to changing this.

The Human Early Learning Partnership – HELP – is a nationally and internationally recognized interdisciplinary research program (located at UBC), with a ten year focus on ensuring that early child development research knowledge is translated to community and policy action.

HELP is hosting the Early Child Development Research Exposition on May 18, 2011. The goal of this event is to reach out to the UBC research community to showcase the breadth and depth of HELP’s population health, interdisciplinary work and to make valuable research connections with students, researchers and faculty members interested in early child development and population health.

Please join us on May 18th to learn more about HELP and meet HELP faculty and researchers who are making unique research contributions to understanding the biological, psychological and societal factors influencing children’s health and development.

To register and for more information please visit Early Child Development Research Exposition.
