Welcome to the home page for the BC Healthy Child Development Alliance. 

We are a cross sectoral coalition of health, social, education, research and community organizations who share a common interest in support of the social determinants of healthy early development of all children in British Columbia. 

Comprised of over 40 member organizations from across the province, the Alliance grew out of the 2004 Healthy Child BC Forum in part from the identification of health child development as a core public health function. 

Our purpose is to provide leadership in, and be a resource to, the development and implementation of policies, strategies and preferred practices that are essential to ensuring the health early development of all children in BC.  We meet bi-monthly from September to June.
