The type 1 diabetes educational resource, called "A Guide for Families: Diabetes Care for Children and Teens", is an educational package that is available for use by diabetes educators, nurses, dietitians, doctors and other health professionals who provide diabetes education to children and their families with a new diagnosis of type 1 diabetes.

The guide consists of several illustrated, easy-to -read information sheets, written in plain language to help families as they get started in learning about type 1 diabetes. All material can be downloaded and placed in a 3 ring binder to give families.
