Measuring Total Body Surface Area of the Burn
- Use a burn diagram (e.g. Lund-Browder) to more accurately calculate the TBSA.
- DO NOT include areas of skin with erythema only (i.e. superficial epidermal/1st degree burns) to the TBSA calculation for fluid resuscitation
