Child Health BC Regional Coordinator for Vancouver Coastal Health

Matt Thacker is the CHBC Regional Coordinator for the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority. He is grateful to live, work and play within the unceded, traditional and ancestral territory of the Stó:lō people.

Holding a Masters degree in nursing and Pediatric Emergency certification with over 10 years of general and emergency pediatric nursing experience, Matt has held positions in both bedside and education. Most recently, Matt was a faculty member for BCIT, educating nurses in the Pediatric Emergency Advanced Certification program.

Matt is a continued advocate for children across BC, and is committed to building partnerships and communities that empower children and their families as leaders of their health. He is especially passionate in supporting healthcare professionals in accessing pediatric education and experiences that improve the health outcomes of those in their care.

In his free time, Matt can be found with his wife and dog among the trails and lakes of the Fraser Valley.
