Gary Hoyano

Gary Hoyano is Senior Advisor for Child Health BC. In this role he provides guidance and leadership in the use of data to support program initiatives. Gary is responsible for ensuring that high quality data is available to inform program and system planning, and to help Child Health BC advocate for the use of data and evidence to improve the health status and access to health services for children in the province.

Gary has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta specializing in Management Information Systems and a Master of Health Administration from the University of British Columbia. He has worked in various technical and business roles in the healthcare sector, including software development, data administration, business analysis and decision support.
