CHILD HEALTH BC REGIONAL COORDINATORS
Trish Thomson is the CHBC Regional Coordinator for the Interior Health region. She has 21 years of clinical nursing and leadership experience within the maternal child population in both acute and public health care systems. Prior to this role, she worked as a nursing manager of rural Pediatric/Obstetric and Surgical units within Interior Health. She is passionate about working in partnership with her colleagues across the health regions to ensure continuous quality care for children and their families .
She holds a Master’s of Science in Nursing Degree from the University of Victoria. Her research thesis focused on the effects of weighing practices of newborns on breastfeeding outcomes. This research was published in the Canadian Nurse (2009).
In her free time she enjoys being outdoors, especially camping with her two young children.
